Professional and Affordable Fashion Haul
Since I'm in my last three semesters of school, I have to start doing observation hours in the public school system. With observations comes a teacher-friendly wardrobe, so I went shopping. Now, professional clothing can be very expensive, and I did not want to spend hundreds of dollars on two or three outfits. I shopped smart and ended up with a few staple pieces that I could mix with pieces I already had, some nice tops and three pairs of shoes. My first stop was Target where I found three pairs of shoes, the staple pieces, and one top.
Let's start with the shoes.
I purchased a pair of pointed-toed heels because they were the perfect color to match any number of outfits, and the heel wasn't too high to wear all day in a classroom. Their original price was somewhere around $30, but I paid $10.48. The boots were some that I wanted back during the winter, but I was waiting on them to go on sale. They were originally priced at $29.99, but I got them for $11.38. The sandals were full price at $22.99. I don't really need them for school, but they were super cute. I also picked up one dress top, a black blazer, and two pairs of slacks, one grey pair and one ankle-length black pair.
My last stop was Ross. Ross is one of my absolute favorite places to shop. They always have something new, and they have some great deals. At Ross I found five tops, and I paid about $26 for all of them!
At the end of the shopping trip, I had some pretty great pieces, and I didn't have to spend a ton of money for them. Being fashionable and professional doesn't have to break your bank. You can look cute and professional and still be able to eat the next week. All you have to do is know where and when to look.
