Saturday Out and About

Most weekends Alex and I try to get out of the house and do something, even if it's just running errands or shopping. This particular Saturday, we just wanted to spend the day together. We didn't have any specific plans in mind, so we just went to the movies, grabbed a bite to eat, and shopped around a bit.

I went for a dressier blouse from Target, but I dressed it down with ripped jeans from American Eagle. I paired the outfit with some booties that I just bought from Target, a gold lariat necklace from Walmart, and a gold and tortoise Michael Kors watch. If you want to recreate the look, I'll link as many of the items as I can below. If I can't find the exact item, I'll link a similar item.

We went to a matinée movie to see Dr. Strange, and it was so good! But let's be honest, I don't think I could dislike anything involving Benedict Cumberbatch. After the movie, we went to Moe's Southwest Grill and had a little bit of lunch. Then I wanted to go to Best Buy and look for a new camera. I'd been researching for the past few days trying to decide on one. I'd been taking all of my blog photos on my iPhone, but I really wanted to get a good quality camera that was really versatile and portable. So, I'd spent an entire day watching video reviews on a few cameras and I had it narrowed down to two. When I got to Best Buy, I played around with my first choice, and I didn't care for it. So, I decided to go with my second choice, but they didn't have it in stock. As soon as I got home, I placed the order and waited patiently for it to arrive.

It's finally here! For many reasons, I went with the Canon G5X, and I love it! I had to sell a kidney for it, but the quality of my blog photos will be so much better now, so it's all worth it. I've been thinking about giving YouTube a try recently and putting some videos out there, so I had that in mind when choosing this camera as well. I'm still learning the camera and I'm not a photographer or videographer by any means, so if any of you have any tips or tricks, I would love to hear them!

XOXO
Kayla
