Family Fun on the Farm

Last weekend, my cousins and I went to Seward Farm for a little Fall fun! We spent the day going through a corn maze, sipping hand-squeezed lemonade, and watching pig races. I decided to go for a casual but cute outfit that consisted of my favorite American Eagle jeans and a white t-shirt. I topped it off with an army green military jacket and a fringe cross-body from Lucky Brand and a hat from Aeropostale. Since I never miss an opportunity to accessorize, I paired the outfit with a gold laurent necklace from Walmart and my gold and tortoise Michael Kors watch. To finish off the outfit, I chose a pair of brown booties made by Rock and Candy.

I read a quote one time that said something along the lines of having a cousin means you'll always have a friend. And I'm telling you, one of the best things about being Southern is having so many cousins.

Coming from a big family like mine, my cousins were my first and best friends. At the farm Saturday, we had three generations of cousins with us! To me, that's amazing because not everyone gets to experience family like that. We get together for holidays and special occasions, and it's so loud that you can't hear yourself think. Everyone talks over everyone. We joke and pick on each other. We get into one another's business, and sometimes we tell each other things we don't necessarily want to hear, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Now I'm not going to lie, sometimes I might want to slap them around a little bit, but I know that my family is always there when it counts. And even when I don't want to admit it, most of the time they're right. I've been blessed with more aunts and uncles than most people can even imagine and they've given me a ton of cousins to walk with me through this crazy life of mine. Together we make up our family, and I wouldn't trade a single person.

Happy Fall Y'all!
XOXO Kayla
