Beignets by the Bay

A few weeks ago, my family and I got together and took my husband out for his birthday. We went to this little local Creole place called Boudreaux's that Alex and I love. It sits right on the bay, and it has live music and great Cajun food. Normally, Alex and I just celebrate together, but turning 27 is a big deal, so we invited my daddy, step-mom, and two sisters. Since it was a special occasion, I bought a special outfit. I went for a little bit of a 60's vibe with this one, which is right up my alley. The dress was from Target and I love the cut of it. It is one of those dresses that I think is flattering on any body type. I threw on the crochet vest, which was something that came with another dress from Walmart because I thought it just added to the hippie vibe. I decided to go with my brown faux suede booties that are also from Target. I also opted for a messy bun since the dress has fairly high neckline, and I added the headband for a little extra 60's flair.

The restaurant sits right on the bay, so we asked to sit out on the patio. We caught the sunset at the perfect time, and it was beautiful!

We ate some amazing Creole food, watched the sunset, and just enjoyed some great family time together. The main thing was that Alex had a good birthday, so I call that a successful night.

If you are ever in the Mobile area, make the trip across the bay to Boudreaux's. The atmosphere and food are both worth the trip, and it will not disappoint. And don't forget about the beignets!
